DESCRIPTION

The sustainability of plastic materials requires reaching a renewable origin and recyclable nature, conditions that are far from being achieved by the current industry. Through enzymatic biocatalysis processes and the design of enzymes for specific depolymerization reactions, the aim is to contribute to the industrial and environmental viability of bioplastics, complemented by state-of-the-art technologies for the synthesis and recycling of their precursors and polymers.
